Abstract: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) has evolved rapidly and widely accepted to become one of the key initiatives from enterprise IT services towards the path to be virtual enterprise. It triggers various issues and challenges in term of technical and user behavioral. It has been highlighted as the main topic for the academic research especially on the security impact. The frameworks developed by various domain experts have particularly resolve some issues and challenges in specific areas. But to apply all of them, these frameworks still require customizations to create suitable general framework. BYOD policies are created to include the specific requirements to resolve user behavioral issues and technical implications in both hard and soft part of BYOD. This article covers the review on the definition of BYOD and its benefits. Several BYOD issues and challenges as well as its solutions are discussed in enterprise perspective. It includes the review on several frameworks proposed by current domain experts. To facilitate the BYOD implementation, enterprises need to create and promote the suitable BYOD policies to get users involvement and understanding about their BYOD needs. It is because BYOD is designed to give what they want and not only save cost and improve productivity in enterprise perspective.
