This paper reports the development of an Android application that allows users to communicate with robot through telecommunication. The application developed is a chatting-like application called RoboChat. When the user gives direction, the robot can respond to the direction, as well as giving feedback to the user. This is called a two way communication application. This application requires two Android mobile phones; one is the user’s phone, and another one is the user-end phone which connected to the robot by cable. When the user gives direction, the data is stored in the cloud, and the user-end phone will retrieve the data via the same application and transfer it to the robot. Since the application enables communication with a robot, the application needs to be compatible with ROS. RoboChat improves the communication between users and robots, as well as enhances the efficiency of the robot in terms of feature, speed, quality, time, and cost. Likewise, instead of robot doing all the computations burden, cloud will do it for them, assisting the robots from most of the computational burden.en_US
